Restoration of the renaissance castle complex in Slatina u Jevišovic
Pavlovský, Tomáš
The area of the Renaissance chateau in Slatina u Jevišovic has been declared an immovable cultural monument since the 1950s. However, the whole area was used until the end of the 1980s by the JZD Vítězný únor for various purposes, from cattle housing, slaughterhouses, granary to the boiling house and dining room of the JZD Běhařovice. One wing of the castle is used as the town hall of the municipality of Slatina and is also owned by the municipality. Since 1990 the building has been abandoned outside the town hall. For ten years, the whole area was dilapidated and threatened with demolition due to the damaged statics of the main building. The Renaissance wing of the chateau was sold into private hands and in 2000 the restoration of the entire chateau complex, except for the municipal part, began. All the works were consulted with the Znojmo department of monument protection, under which the whole castle area falls. In the first stage, a supporting stone pillar was structurally secured, which, instead of supporting the building, threatened it from the north side. This was followed by the repair of the historic roof and the roof as a whole. . The construction and restoration work in the whole area was and still is carried out gradually according to the set goals. No artefacts have so far been found during the restoration which would help to understand more about life on this estate at its peak, in the 17th and 18th centuries.

1 Abstract In this work I deal with farmyards 13th-15th century, which formed an integral part of the medieval landscape. The main attention is paid to settlement-historical context and economic potential. Attention was also focused on the methods used, archaeological surveys and surface exploration. Their form depended on the owner, the monasteries were built large courtyards and nobility smaller. The main purpose of these farmyards was to provide the economic base of the nobility. There are also farmyards that served to financial income. The most common owners were a nobility and church institutions. Mostly they were situated to rural settlemet, where they were always dominant feature. Because this is not very frequent theme in Czech archeology, the aim of this work was also to summarize current knowledge. Given the breadth of the topic, I tried to include as much information, on the other hand, I had to approach selected topics in general. Work should, however, include the most important knowledge on this topic.

Kodetová, Klára ; Charvátová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Foltýn, Dušan (referee)
Resume The presented bachelor thesis portrays the historical development of the village Kaznějov. It deals with its portrayal in the available historical charters and documents. The focus is laid especially on the oldest history of the settlement, when it functioned as a grange of the Cistercian monks from the nearby Plasy monastery, and on its further development throughout the Middle Ages and Early Modern Period. Although the paper strives to rely mostly on available historical documents, it at the same time also strives to portray the village on the background of important contemporary events, such as the Hussite Wars and the Thirty Years' War. In the younger periods, the thesis focuses on the portrayal of the village based on the materials from different land cadastres - the Cadastre of the empress Maria Theresa, the emperor Joseph II.'s Cadastre and the Stable Cadastre. Finally, the paper describes the changes that the village sustained as a result of the mining and chemical industries' development in the area during the 19th century. These changes significantly shaped the village's further growth and also its physical appearance as opposed to the former periods.
